How to combine PNG images into one PDF
Screenshots, scanned pages and diagrams are easier to send as one PDF than as ten separate pictures. Here's how to put them in order, choose the page size and keep the file a sensible size.

Quick answer: open PNG to PDF, choose all your PNG images at once, drag them into the order you want, pick a page size and margin, and press convert. Each image becomes one page of a single PDF. It's free, needs no account and your images never leave your device.
Combine PNG images into one PDF, step by step
- Open PNG to PDF and add your images. Choose as many PNG files as you like in one go. You can also add JPG, WebP, GIF or BMP images to the same PDF.
- Put them in order. Each image becomes one page, in the order shown in the list. Move any that are in the wrong place before you convert, because the order is easy to change now and harder to fix afterwards.
- Choose how the pages look. Pick the page size, the orientation and the margin (see the next section).
- Convert and download. Your browser builds the PDF on your own device and downloads it. If you want a different file name, use the Rename link next to the download button.
- Open the PDF and check it. Scroll through every page to make sure the order is right and nothing is cut off before you send it.
Which page size, orientation and margin should I choose?
| Setting | Choose it when |
|---|---|
| A4 or US Letter | The PDF will be printed, or someone expects normal document pages. A4 is the usual paper size in the UK and most of the world, and US Letter is the usual size in the US and Canada. |
| Same size as each image | You want every picture shown exactly as it is, with no white space added. Good for screenshots and diagrams that you will only read on a screen. |
| Automatic orientation | Your images are a mix of tall and wide ones. Each page is set to the orientation that fits its image best. |
| Portrait or landscape | All your images are the same shape, and you want every page to match. |
| No margin, small or large | No margin fills the page. A small or large margin leaves white space around the image, which looks tidier when printed. |
Common problems and how to avoid them
- The pages are in the wrong order. File names like "Screenshot 10" can sort before "Screenshot 2". Check the order in the list and move the images before you convert.
- Transparent areas turn white. A PDF page has no see-through background, so transparent parts of a PNG show as white, the same as when you print the image.
- The file is too big to email or upload. The images go into the PDF without being squeezed, so the PDF is usually about the same size as your PNG files together. Run it through Compress PDF. If a website gives a limit, there are pages that aim just under a size: 100 KB, 200 KB and 500 KB.
- The text in your pages can't be searched or selected. A PNG is a picture, so the words in it are part of the picture. If your PNGs are scanned pages, OCR PDF can read the text on your device and make it searchable. Check numbers and names afterwards, because text recognition can make mistakes.
What to do next with your PDF
- Need to add or remove pages? Organize PDF lets you reorder, rotate and delete pages in the finished file.
- Need to join it to another PDF? Merge PDF puts two or more PDFs into one.
- Need to sign it? Sign PDF adds your signature without printing.
Is it private?
Yes. The PDF is built by your browser, on your own device. Your images are not sent to a server, so it is safe to use with private screenshots, forms and documents. It works the same on Windows, Mac, Chromebook, iPhone and Android, with nothing to install. On a phone, choose your PNGs from your photos or files.
