How to use the Workspace

  1. Open your files

Add PDFs, photos, scans, text files or Word documents. Each one gets a letter and colour, and you can add more at any time.

  2. Arrange and edit

See every page. Drag pages between files, rotate, duplicate or delete them, add blank pages, and use Edit page to add text, dates, images, signatures, highlights or white-out. Undo works for every step.

  3. Choose how to save

Export one PDF, split it into several files, or save images. Add a watermark, page numbers, compression or a password, preview the result, then download.

About this tool

The Workspace brings PDF ProMaster's tools together, so you don't have to open the same files again in Merge, Split, Rotate and Compress. A typical job, such as combining five PDFs, removing the pages you don't need, adding a signature and making the file smaller, takes one visit and one download.

Nothing is changed until you export. The pages you see are a plan: you can undo, redo and rearrange freely, and the finished file is built at the end, with pages copied exactly so text stays sharp and selectable (unless you choose a compression level that turns pages into images).

Like every tool on this site, the Workspace runs inside your browser. Your files are opened in this tab's memory and are never uploaded or saved anywhere. Close or reload the tab and they are gone.

Questions

How do I merge PDFs in the Workspace?

Add two or more files, arrange the pages if you like, then press Merge files. All the pages are joined into one PDF in the order shown. You can still add a watermark, page numbers, compression or a password before merging, using the buttons next to Download at the top.

What can I do in the Workspace?

Open several files at once; reorder, rotate, duplicate, delete and extract pages; add blank pages; add text, today's date, images, signatures, highlights and white-out boxes; merge everything into one PDF or split it by file, by page count, by page ranges or at marks you place; add a watermark, page numbers or a password; compress; and save pages as JPG or PNG images.

Which files can I open?

PDF files, JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF and BMP images, plain text (.txt) files and Word documents (.docx). Images and text become PDF pages. Other formats, such as Excel or PowerPoint, can't be converted in a browser; save them as PDF in the app that made them first.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser on your own device. Files are kept only in the tab's memory while you work, are never sent to us or anyone else, and are cleared when you close the tab. Nothing is saved to your browser's storage either.

Can I undo a mistake?

Yes. Undo and Redo cover every change to the pages, including deletions, moves, rotations and added items. Use the buttons or Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Shift+Z (⌘ on a Mac).

Can I edit the existing text in a PDF?

You can add new text anywhere and cover existing text with a white box, then type over it. Changing the original words in place isn't possible reliably in a browser, because PDFs store placed characters rather than editable paragraphs. White-out hides text when the page is viewed or printed, but the covered words are still in the file, so don't use it to hide private information.

Can I open password-protected PDFs?

Yes, if you know the password and are allowed to use the file. The file shows a password box in the Your files list. Files that open freely but limit editing need their permissions (owner) password.

Is a signature added here legally binding?

The Workspace adds a picture of your drawn, typed or uploaded signature. That's accepted for many everyday documents, but it isn't a certified digital signature. Check what the recipient needs for important contracts.

Is there a page or size limit?

Each file can be up to 500 MB, with up to 1 GB of files and 2,000 pages open at once. Because the work happens on your device, very large jobs depend on your device's memory.
