Your files never leave your device

Every tool on PDF ProMaster runs inside your web browser. When you choose a file, your browser reads it from your device, does the work (merging, splitting, compressing and so on) and gives you the result to save. The file is not uploaded to us or to anyone else, so we never see it, store it or have access to it.

When you close or reload the page, everything you opened is cleared from the browser's memory.

What our website does load

All of the site's code, PDF libraries and fonts are served from our own domain, which is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives the basic technical information needed to deliver pages, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, and keeps standard server logs. It does not receive your documents.

We test this: for every tool, we record all network traffic while a file is processed and check that nothing is sent anywhere.

Cookies and tracking

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't follow you around the web. We don't ask you to create an account or for your name or email address.

Visit counts

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits, so we know which tools are used and can improve them. It doesn't use cookies or local storage and doesn't identify or follow individual visitors. It records things like which page was viewed, the website you came from, your country and how fast the page loaded. It never sees your files. PDF ProMaster has no advertising. If anything here ever changes, we'll update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Your rights and the legal basis

We process the small amount of personal information described above (technical information in Cloudflare's server logs, anonymous visit counts and, if you email us, your email address and message) on the basis of our legitimate interests: keeping the site secure and working, understanding which tools are used, and answering your questions.

Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the site and provides the visit counts on our behalf. It may process this information in the United States; such transfers are covered by the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Cloudflare's standard data protection terms. Cloudflare keeps its logs for a limited period under its own policies. We keep emails only as long as needed to deal with your message, and delete them within 12 months.

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To do this, email us at the address below. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Signatures

Signatures you draw, type or upload in Sign PDF or the Workspace exist only on the page while you use them. They aren't saved by us and disappear when you close the tab.

The Workspace

The PDF ProMaster Workspace lets you open several files at once and work on them for longer. It follows the same rules as every other tool: your files, the pages you arrange, the text and signatures you add and the files you export are kept only in that browser tab's memory. Nothing is uploaded, and nothing is written to your browser's storage, so no copy is left on a shared computer. Closing or reloading the tab, or choosing "Clear everything", removes it all.

Changes to this page

If we change how the site handles information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
