About this tool
Every PDF carries properties that many people never see: the title shown in browser tabs and search results, the author's name, the program that created it and when. They can reveal more than you intend, such as the name on the computer that made the file.
Use this tool to give a PDF a proper title before publishing it, or to strip the properties out before sending a document to someone else. The pages, text and images aren't touched.
Questions
What does "Remove all properties" remove?
The title, author, subject, keywords, creator, producer and dates, plus the hidden XMP metadata block some programs add.
Does it remove names written on the pages?
No. It only changes the file's properties. Text on the pages stays as it is.
Why does the title matter?
PDF readers, browsers and search engines often show the title instead of the file name.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser on your own device.
